SPECIALIST VAN BODYWORK. A REPAIR-FIRST APPROACH. Owner-drivers & fleets

THE RIGHT PANEL. THE RIGHT FIT.

Van door & panel repairs.

A van door needs to open, close and fit properly—not just look straight. A repair plan should account for the panel, its hinges or runners, and any damage around the opening.

01

Give the assessment the exact van specification.

Registration is a starting point, but body length, roof height, door layout and model year can change the required part. Converted vans and additional fittings need particular attention.

  • State whether it is a side loading door, rear door, cab door or fixed panel.
  • Photograph the outside, the edges and the door opening where safe.
  • Mention locks, windows, runners, hinges, internal lining and signwriting.

02

A replacement should match more than the badge.

Suitable reclaimed OEM parts are genuine manufacturer parts, but that does not automatically make every part compatible. Condition, dimensions, fittings and safety are checked before recommending an available panel.

03

Agree the finish and the functional checks.

A replacement may need preparation, colour matching and transfer of suitable fittings. The quote should explain what happens to trim, locks, lining and paintwork. Report a door that catches, drops or does not latch before attempting to use it.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your questions.
Clear answers.

Can a damaged sliding door be repaired?

Possibly. Panel damage, the condition of the opening and the runners or mounting points affect the decision. An inspection may be necessary.

Are reclaimed OEM doors ready to fit without painting?

Not necessarily. Condition, colour, fittings and compatibility must be assessed. Preparation or refinishing may be required.

What if my van has a conversion or internal lining?

Include those details and photos in the enquiry. They can affect access, removal and refitting, and the repair scope.
